Deberes y responsabilidades
1. Assist with administrative tasks including correspondence, reports, and presentations.
2. Utilize computerized systems for data entry and record keeping.
3. Provide excellent customer service to families, ensuring sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed.
4. With support from supervisor, provide new family orientation, room checks, and completing documentation, as needed.
5. Gain an understanding of the support families need to remain housed after leaving shelter.
6. Develop and maintain a frequency of post-shelter communication with families.
7. Maintain ongoing communication with landlords to confirm rent payment and address tenancy concerns.
8. Document all family interactions, stabilization efforts, and changes to check-in schedules in ETO.
9. Connect families with public and private resources to support housing retention, medical services, and benefits.
10. Assist with housing search activities and provide mediation between families and landlords, as needed.
11. Intervene promptly if tenancy is at risk for any reason.
Requisitos
Bachelor’s degree preferably in a Human Services related field (significant case management experience may substitute for degree)
Three to five years experience working with economically disadvantaged youth and/or families
Minimum of one-year assessment, advocacy and case management work in related field required
Experience working with populations with mental illness, development disabilities and/or substance abuse, and economically disadvantaged individuals and/or families

• Knowledge and experience working with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families
• Demonstrated knowledge of community resources available to low-income individuals and families
• Excellent customer service, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems
• Crisis management skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and confidentiality of information
• Excellent attention to detail
• Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Haitian Creole, English/Portuguese) preferred
